Sawmill Creek Golf Club

Sawmill Creek Golf Club is a public daily-fee golf club located on the shores of Lake Erie. Situated 45 minutes from both downtown Cleveland and Toledo, Sawmill Creek Golf Club was designed by world-renowned architect Tom Fazio. Opening for play in 1974 in the small lakefront village of Huron, Ohio Sawmill Creek Golf Club was just the fourth course that Fazio had designed to that date. It's easy to feel like you're on vacation when challenging this 6700 yard par 71 layout. This early Fazio masterpiece is bordered by natural beauty on three sides. Sheldons's Marsh on the West, Lake Erie on the North and Sawmill Creek on the East make this lushly landscaped course a challenge for golfers of all abilities. Sawmill Creek Golf Club is known for having some of the best greens in Ohio. Fast, large and undulating putting surfaces will make par good for even the most skilled golfer. Few courses can boast the assortment of challenging par 3's that Sawmill has to offer with the 195 yard seventh hole being the toughest. Playing from an elevated teeing ground over a valley with a pond to an elevated green that is guarded by Sawmill Creek make this hole one of the best par 3's around. The two nines have distinctly different qualities. The front nine, also called the "Creek Nine" gives the golfer a traditional northern feel with Sawmill Creek meandering around four of the outward nine holes. The "Lake Nine" which serves as the back nine gives the player a feeling like their visiting the Carolinas. Large, beautiful weeping willow trees protecting freshwater lakeside marshes will make the inward nine an experience you won't soon forget. Valid at the Sawmill Creek Golf Club only.
